My quilting prices are based on square inches, and density of quilting. To figure the square inches of your quilt, multiply length by width. For example 90 inches x 85 inches = 7650 square inches.

I have four levels of pricing:

Basic: 
Overall meander, edge to edge, or pantograph quilting without regard to individual blocks or borders. This would be considered very open quilting.  Begins at $.02 per square inch

Basic plus borders: 

More intricate meander and patterns with a separate design in the borders. There is a charge for turning the quilt. This involves removing it from the leaders and repositioning it to complete the borders.  Begins at $.025 per square inch

Custom Quilting:
Medium density quilting with consideration for individual blocks, backgrounds, sashing, and borders. Begins at $.035 per square inch

Custom Quilting Plus to Heirloom:
More dense quilting, including stitch in the ditch around appliques and blocks, crosshatching, and other background fillers. This would be very fussy quilting, with possible color changes, and even trapunto work. Begins at $.040 per square inch

Miscellaneous Fees:

Thread charge:
One choice of thread is included in the set up fee. I use So Fine, Bottomline, Rainbows and Highlights from Superior Threads. There may be an additional fee for any specialty threads, such as metallic or varegated.  Multiple thread changes will have a $5.00 per color fee.

Turning Fee:
This is where the quilt is removed from the leaders and repositioned to finish quilting the side borders. $10.00

Pieced backing: If you would like me to piece your backing for you. $10.00 per seam

Binding:
I machine stitch prepared binding you provide to the top only of your quilt $.15 per linear inch

I prepare and machine stitch binding to the top only of your quilt, $10.00 to prep binding & $.20 per linear inch

I prepare and machine stitch binding to the top and hand stitch to the back of your quilt $10.00 to prep binding & $.25 per linear inch

Availble Backing Fabrics:

muslin in white and unbleached

Prints or batiks in wide fabrics (contact me for available fabrics)

Battings:

You may provide your batting or purchase from me. Please check with me if you plan to send your own.
